We tweaked our popular 170mm “+8” extension for 40 S&W, giving you a chance to load up to TEN additional rounds! That 25+1! We’ve also re-profiled the interior to better accommodate the new “chisel-point” followers. Details matter, so depending on which combination of mag tube/follower you’re using, results vary between +9 and +10. This extension can be used on a 22-round magazine, but requires a special spring — if you’d like to go that route, please say so when you order. Ships with a custom-made Wolff spring.
Due to U.S. State Department restrictions, we cannot ship this part internationally.
NOTE: If you would like this part for a pistol instead of a carbine, please note when checking out. We can swap the spring out for the smaller spring.
NOTE: Because of a combination of factors, we build our basepads slightly “short” for best reliability. As a result, they will run properly with ammunition loaded to 1.125″ overall or less. That’s a typical length for 115- and 124-grain loads, but some (notably, Winchester 115 RN) will go out all the way to 1.160″. HINT: If your extension will take 35 rounds and then becomes unreliable (or sticks), check the length of your ammunition! Question? Give us a call and we can explain.
