Description
Designed and manufactured by former German military ordnance engineers and bench-rest gunsmiths at DSR-precision GmbH, and marketed by AMP Technical Services as a specialized sniper rifle for law enforcement sharpshooters. The DSR-1 has been adopted by the German GSG9 Counter Terrorist group, as well as other elite European law enforcement agencies as well as a few non-European military Special Operations Forces. Featuring a bullpup design with a free floating barrel, the AMP DSR-1 is capable of shooting targets at ranges up to 1400m (1.531 yards).
The DSR-1 has been officially licensed by ARES from AMP Technical Services as an Airsoft gun. Manufactured in Hong Kong, ARES has released the second version of their AMP DSR-1. Machined from aluminum casting, it is both very light weight and very solidly built. The internals though, is very similar to the Tanaka gas rifles system; Where the gas reservoir is located inside the magazine and the firing pin is located inside the bolt assembly.
Featuring an ambidextrous safety lever, a 5-position adjustable hand guard, adjustable stock plate, a spring loaded cheek piece; extendable rear monopod and an extendable front bipod with forward and backwards adjustment, as well as a spare magazine is located in front of the trigger. Unlike the previous batch of the ARES AMP DSR-1, this version sports a very sleek silvered two-tone finishing, mimicking its real steel counterpart, and not only does ARES provide you with a scope, they provide you with a LEUPOLD Mark IV, a 3.5-10×50 M1 with illuminated Mildot crosshair!
