Though it is available in multiple configurations with different barrel lengths, this specific upper comes with a 14.5-inch Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Lined 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel barrel. This barrel also comes with a pinned Daniel Defense Flash Suppressor, which takes the total length to 16 inches, so you don’t have to register your rifle as an SBR.

Modularity and Strength

This upper receiver group also includes the Daniel Defense RIS III 12.5-Inch M-LOK Handguard. This free-floating aluminum handguard features M-LOK slots at seven different angles along its length and has an uninterrupted upper Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny Rail.

This upper assembly uses the Daniel Defense A4 Upper Receiver. Made from 7075-T6 Aluminum, this receiver features M4 feed ramps for improved reliability and has a Mil-Spec profile. The receiver houses the Daniel Defense 5.56 AR-15 Bolt Carrier Group and has an ambidextrous charging handle.
